Dialogue with Her Series

My 'Dialogue with her' series of paintings emerge from the markets of Chennai and Bangalore. I seek inspiration from the day to day life of people in the markets and streets. I feel that the markets are home to many soulful activities other than just buying and selling. Women's daily life is celebrated in this series of paintings. They talk to anything and everything in their world. Their dialogues can be heard in all the paintings. My contemporary way of expressing the theme involves techniques of expressionism and Indian art form with play of colors and tones.
